Journey Day 55 — Ready for What Came

Today started differently.

Instead of building systems, working on the website, or exploring another idea, most of the morning was focused on one thing:

Preparing for an opportunity.

I had a phone screening for an operations position, so I spent time reviewing my experience, thinking through examples, and preparing for the questions that might come.

Then the call happened.

And most of the questions I prepared for were never asked.

But the preparation still mattered.

The conversation went well, my experience seemed to connect with what they were looking for, and the opportunity moved another step forward.

That reminded me of something important:

Preparation doesn’t guarantee you’ll know what’s coming.

It helps you become ready for whatever comes.

Yesterday’s lesson was that preparation is part of the step.

Today, I got to see why.

I still don’t know where this opportunity will lead.

But when the moment came, I was ready to meet it.

One faithful step at a time.
